The only moment you don’t enjoy is the one you are not conscious of. Be conscious of this moment of bliss, this moment of ecstatic joy, for it is all that is real. Your disappointment is not real; it is but a figment of unbelief an illusion of that which is not. What do you believe about that which you desire? Do you believe the Father will give you the desires of your heart? Do you not know that He is more aware of your desires than you are? Do you not realize that He wants you to be awakened to your desires and enjoy them? To be disappointed is to believe that you are more aware of yourself than I AM is of Himself.
Desire this moment! Desire the ecstatic pleasure that is found in I AM! Desire the unspeakable joy found in the now. Bliss is here now, for the all present One remains in this moment. If you are present, truly present in the now, in this moment, in I AM, than you are experiencing this moment as BLISS!
Embracing the moment turns disappointment into adventure, the mundane into magnificence, and the monotonous into spontaneity! Consciousness of this moment of bliss turns loss into gain, distraction into focus and irritation into peace; for that which is not, cannot exist in that which is!
I hear this questions looming in the air, “how does one become conscious of this moment of bliss?” So I ask you, how does a dog bark or a squirrel climb a tree? The dog never considers why it barks or how it barks; it simply does because it is. If, however, a dog believes it is a squirrel, will it bark or will it attempt to climb trees? I ask you who read this page, does one born of God, an eternal being, a god, fear the future? Can one born of God not be conscious of his existence? If you believe yourself to be a mere temporal human being, will you not worry about the future and strive to live a decent life before you die? Will you not plan and prepare in an attempt to control to the best of your abilities that which you call life? Will you not work by the sweat of your brow all the days of your life to correct a non-existent past found in Adam? A dog believing it is a squirrel will never be able to just be, for it will always be striving to be that which it is not. Stress, strife, anxiety, fears and the worry of tomorrow are found in the eternal being who believes himself to be a mere mortal, a part of that which is not! It is impossible for a mortal to ever be truly aware of this moment of bliss! But you are not a mortal, a temporal being. You were born of I AM, the eternal God, the one who was and IS and IS to come, the Beginning and the End, the ALL PRESENT ONE! IN HIM YOU LIVE AND MOVE AND FIND YOUR BEING!
You are free to just be! It is your nature to be conscious of this moment of bliss; of the Now, of the “I AM”.
Watch with me if you dare, the great play called “life”; actors and actresses working diligently to become the subject they most admire, they do whatever it takes to have a role, to look the part, and to be accepted in the play. Those who are accepted are watched by understudies and admired by wannabes; they are seen as successful, as wise, and as gifted. Most individuals never make the big stage, they stay behind the scenes, working backstage, but always trying to be like those on it. For the backstage worker, “life” revolves around the 9-5, having a nice house to go home to and a nice car to get them there. They seek pleasure in those they want to be like and miserably desire to escape the minuscule work that has been given them. Those who are deemed as successful lead the way in this play; their wealth, status, and popularity seem desirable, they appear to be having fun so everyone wants to be like them. Everyone is chasing the green, trying to keep up, trying to have a lifestyle that will make them happy.
Escape the bondage of trying to be like those society deems admirable! Escape the prison of thought that money and toys will make you happy! Escape the shackles of the American Dream and live once again!
BE YOU!!! BE FREE!!! Let go of the bondage of trying to be like someone else, stop being a copy cat! You will never find satisfaction in trying to be liked! Return to your true nature, your god nature, your creative genius! The play isn’t real, your work backstage isn’t real, and your 9-5 reality isn’t real. You’re not having fun and it’s not because of your job, where you live or the toys you don’t have. You’re not having fun because you don’t know who you are! We are raised in this play with the idea that applause means success! That Facebook likes mean that we are liked. That success is a nice place to live, good transportation, food on the table and big screen TV to watch after work; that a 401K and nice retirement is what you work 45 years to accomplish, so that you can die a nice death.
The prison door is wide open, will you walk through it? Will you dare to walk away from the status quo, the American Dream, and traditional wisdom? He who Christ sets free is free! Free to live and move and have our being in the moment, in the now, in I AM. You don’t have to fight for this freedom, it was already fought for. The dream of popularity and success, of money and toys, this can be taken from you, but the freedom I speak of can in no way be taken, for it is within! Will you dare to believe that this one moment in I AM’s presence is better than an thousand days of luxurious retirement? Will you dare to believe that in the presence of I AM is an ecstatic joy that paper can’t buy? Will you dare to believe that in I AM is pleasure beyond imagination, and ecstasy that cannot be taken? Will you dare to believe?
Life is so much more than where you have been and where you believe your plans will take you, it is bigger than where you are and what you do, it is who you are! Who are you? Are you your mother or father? Are you your husband or wife? Are you your best friend? Are you your neighbor? NO! You are an undiscovered jewel, a unique expression of the Glory of I AM. You cannot and will never be someone else; and you will never find yourself until you realize you are in I AM!
What will you do oh man, you who try to plan your existence and control your tomorrow, when you realize tomorrow controls you? What will you do when you are awakened to the truth that you have allowed your tomorrow, a day that IS NOT, to rob from you the present? What will you do when you realize that the wisdom you use to plan your tomorrow, the wisdom you have molded your life by, is an invisible prison for the mind? Will you dare to break free from the misery of this prison, from the foolishness that is this wisdom; will you dare to JUST BE?
Listen closely, you who read this page. A Lion was not meant to live in a cage, nor were you meant to live in tomorrow. Unlike an actual prison, tomorrow is but an illusion seen by the one who practices the wisdom of this age and desires to create their pleasure. This illusion, like most, takes the unaware deeper and deeper into its prison and it is here, in this dark cell, deep within the prison of their mind, that they are introduced to this illusion called control. Disguised by the prison which masquerades as wisdom, control is introduced as preparation or planning.
This illusion of tomorrow brings with it a fear of the unknown, which causes those who are prey too it to plan and prepare in an attempt to feel secure. The problem is tomorrow never comes! Every tomorrow has a tomorrow of its own and those who are unaware of the moment spend their entire existence planning for a day that is not, instead of enjoying the day that is. Every time they feel too have caught up with tomorrow it alludes them with thoughts of what has not been accomplished, enjoyed, experienced, and with the responsibility of that which is not. And why do they worry about a nonexistent day? About what they will eat, what they will wear, and where they will sleep? Only those who do not intimately know I AM concern themselves with the trivial things of the nonexistent tomorrow. They wear themselves out with the tedious work of paddling up the river of life instead of enjoying a float trip on it!
Let us be as one who just learned to float, being carried by the oceans tide. For we are free to enjoy this moment! We cannot control the illusion of tomorrow any more than a man dying of thirst in the desert can control his hallucinations. This feeling of control only exists to rob us of our pleasure, disarm us of our joy, and keep us from the ecstasy of this moment!
This day will unfold as a flower blooming in the sunlight. Any attempt to control the flowers blooming is nothing more than the manipulation of truth, the manifestation of an illusion, and the absence of love! Love does not desire to control but to set free. Control places stipulations upon the potential of the flower, according to its perception of tomorrow and robs the flower of its potential today. Instead of rejoicing in the flowers beauty control works to make it beautiful. Instead of celebrating the flowers unique personality, control forces its will upon it and robs the world of it unique expression. Love, however, embraces the flowers beauty and to love, even its flaws are perfect! Love allows the flower to unfold in whatever way it chooses, embracing, enjoying and resting fully in it!
Be diligent then, you who read this page, to enter into the Rest of Today. Allow no longer the illusion of control to cause you to miss Today! Instead, effortlessly sink into the realization of this moment; sink into “I AM”. For those who do are the Timeless ones, the Eternal ones, the Immortals. They are the “I AM’s”, born of Him, in Him and He in them. They are the ageless ones marked by ecstasy and perpetual joy, those who delight in what is for that which is not, is no more! They effortlessly navigate the River of Life for they are one with it, they are its current.
Do not try to not plan or prepare, simply realize the moment that you are in and enjoy it. If you are planning, than be lost in the moment of planning, not in what you are planning or in the thought of tomorrow, but in this moment of planning. Preparation only becomes an attempt to control when your thoughts are of what you are preparing for rather than the enjoyment of the preparation. Let go of tomorrow, for it is not and embrace Today for it is good!
Humanity seems so tasked with the inescapable burden of forgiveness; of self, of others, of past, of present and even of the future! Most see this present moment so dimly through the unbearable glass half full of regret, misfortune, and pain. Skewed by the actions of others they ignorantly heap blame on anyone or anything in an attempt to forgo that which is obvious; that they are bound by the illusion of control, of independence and of pride. Blame can only be placed upon another when the other is in control; but is anyone really in control? Independence is the idea that one is free from the persuasion and control of others; but can one celebrate independence apart from the influence of the one they claim to be independent of? To celebrate independence is to admit the influence of the one you claim to be independent of. Pride is contrary to self-awareness, in that the ego is diametrically opposed to singularity of mind; this is clearly revealed when one attempts to gain independence by blaming another for their bondage.
FREEDOM comes from within; it comes from awakening to the reality that we are unequivocally and inseparably one! Our enemy is only our enemy because we believe that we are right and therefore they are wrong. When our desire to be right exceeds our desire to be, peace, rest and harmony is left forgotten in the shadows of our ego. The desire for independence is uniquely bound to the egotistical nature of temporal beings. This is that which drives those in bondage to the ego identity crisis. Like rebellion, the desire to be independent finds its origin in agreement with a lie…that we are not like “I AM”.
This universal task, is for most, a great burden of miss fortune that they must carry to the end of their own ego. A daunting expedition through the chambers of thought and emotion, they carry this task of forgiveness around like a mother carrying twins in the womb. Wanting to rid themselves of this burden they look to abort it by any possible means but soon realize their attempt to do so is the futile action of an infantile mind! Regret is a black hole, a quick sand pit of despair, a cesspool of waste that has never and will never define you…unless of course you give it the power too. And why give power to a past that is not?
In order to forgive another one first must come to the place of forgiving self! In order to forgive one’s self one must come to the end of the lie that is ego!
TO BE CONTINUED...
If you’re reading this, there is a 44% chance that you have set a “New Year’s Resolution” with the passing of the calendar year. There is also a strong possibility that by now, you have abandoned that resolution - or at least modified it drastically. Somehow “exercising four times a week” turns into “wearing yoga pants around the house.” If this rings familiar, you are not alone.
As a culture, we tend to put a lot of faith in the (seemingly) mystical powers of our calendar…
“It’s December, I’m going to eat as much as I want. But once January comes around, I’m changing things for good.”
“I’m starting the [insert sexiest new cleanse here] on Monday. So it doesn’t really matter what I eat this weekend.”
“My wife and I just had a major fight. We’ll just stay pissed at each other for the rest of tonight, and tomorrow we can start fresh.”
Today, my friend, I am here to proclaim to you the good news: you are not a slave to time. And a new calendar year (or a Monday or the first day of the month) will not and cannot give you anything that you do not already possess: the power to create and shape your life.
The reality is that change happens in a single moment. We create destructive habits by believing lies about ourselves and about the world. Well, it only takes a single moment to realize a truth. And a single realization can lead to a world of difference. It all starts with a revelation of the truth. And, friend, you are free to create the life you desire.
Part of the problem is that we believe old lies about ourselves. We feel bound to the past. But the past is history. It’s gone. It has no bearing on who you choose to be in this moment. The events of last week are as far away as the days of Moses in Egypt. You are not a slave to your past. In fact, you are changing every single moment. Within your body, millions of cells are passing away and birthing new life every second. On a cellular level, you are a different person than you were when you started reading this letter.
It’s a new moment, and a new you.
There is immense freedom when you realize that you do not have to wait for any measure of time in order to create change in your life. For instance, if you take part in a quarrel with your spouse, you don’t have to hold on to the grudge to make your point. The fracture in the relationship does not need to remain. You have the opportunity - at any moment - to take a few deep breaths, lay down your pride, and turn things around. In a single moment, you can choose to focus on all the beautiful aspects of the person in front of you. You can begin to perceive this person in a totally new way, and it only takes a moment of decision to set the entire change in motion.
I like the word “decide.” It comes from the Latin de- (off, or away) and -caedere (to cut). It means to cut away, or to cut off. Perhaps it is time for you to cut away your faith in the calendar - to cut off your belief in lies from your past. Perhaps it is time for you to enjoy the newness of this moment - to realize that you are a fresh soul, and you can create something wonderful from this moment on.
Every ingredient needed to create lasting change is already present within you. You don’t need to wait for any date on the calendar to start creating the life you want. And you don’t need to be a slave to past events. This moment is completely new. And so are you.
Einstein knew a little something about being different and about failure...here are a few things you may not know about him!
1. Einstein Was a Fat Baby with Large Head
2. Einstein Had Speech Difficulty as a child.
3. Einstein did not talk until age 4
4. Einstein did not read until age 9
5. Einstein Failed his University Entrance Exam
6. Einstein lost three teaching positions over a two year span.
7. Many organizations claim Einstein had a learning disability
Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany, and grew up in Munich, in a family of independent-minded, nonpracticing Jews. Little is known about his childhood. Because he was slow in learning to speak--he was not fully fluent even at the age of nine--he was at various times thought to be mentally retarded. Some experts have speculated that he was dyslexic. A headmaster once told his father that what Einstein chose as a profession wouldn't matter, because "he'll never make a success at anything." And yet at age six he began learning to play the violin and became a gifted amateur violinist, maintaining this skill throughout his life.
In 1895, at the age of 16, Einstein sat the entrance examinations for the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zürich. He failed to reach the required standard in the general part of the examination, but obtained exceptional grades in physics and mathematics. Einstein graduated from the renowned Swiss Polytechnic Institute at the age of 21, but struggled to find employment. He had a terrible reputation as a student, he skipped classes and his professors never took him seriously! After working many odd jobs to sustain himself, he finally found employment as a patent clerk. We now view Einstein's work in physics as revolutionary but when Einstein first came onto the scene, most of the scientific community thought his ideas were crazy and were not accepted as even having a leg to stand on .

Ok, so we established in part one, the first, very obvious step to thriving in the midst of economic collapse…CUT THE FAT! It’s time to learn how to live within your means. And let’s be honest, most of you don’t have a clue how to do this! There are two primary issues that are creating your financial dilemma. The first and most pressing issue, most of you need to deal with, is related to the final question that was asked in part one. Most of you are doing what you feel you HAVE TO DO, not what you WANT TO DO! This creates an unfilled void that you might try to fill with stuff you don’t need and activities you simply can’t afford. Chew on this nugget. The average family in America has $15,863 in credit card debt. This of course does not include the two car payments, mortgage and school loans most have. How did this happen? When did this quicksand lifestyle begin? It all began as a small child, when your parents swallowed the, ‘my children have to go to college to become successful’, propaganda. And from that point forward you were encouraged and even pressured to go to college so that you could get that degree that would enable you to get the ‘good job’. But you didn’t even know if you wanted the “good job”! So now you have invested between 50 and 100k to get a job that you hate; and that’s assuming that you got the job! Now I could go on for hours describing the conventional wisdom that screwed most of you, but I simply can’t stomach thinking about it anymore. So let’s move on to some solutions!
Albert Einstein once said, "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." If you want solutions, you’re going to have to change the way you think! Are you ready to escape the prison that you have unknowingly subjected your mind too? Are you ready to dump your old financial advisor, your favorite news stations, and the ideas that your teachers and parents filled your head with as a youth? These traditional ways of thinking are the reason we are in this mess to begin with. And if you continue following these thought patterns, you will never escape their undertow.
Let me state this again with emphasis…NOW IS THE TIME TO CUT THE FAT! If you wait until the collapse is on us, you will lose value on the items you need to cut. Now don’t get me wrong, you will make it through this collapse whether you listen to me or not, but if you want to thrive in the midst of it and set yourself up to take full advantage of the collapse then you need to begin cutting the fat now! Those of you who do this and with patience follow the wisdom to come, will find yourselves in position to take full advantage of a frail market on the rebound and to create for yourself a NR lifestyle. Traditional thinking has always been work hard, put in your 40 to 60 hours a week for 40 to 50 years and hope that your financial advisor is competent enough to make sure you have the cash needed to retire. What if I told you to forget retirement for a minute...wait, at least hear me out before you call the men in white coats. Retirement is just another scheme used by the monetary system to bower your hard earned money for 40 years. It is a clever use of hype and fear driven indoctrination used to keep you so busy that you don’t have time to see what’s going on behind the curtain. What if I told you it’s possible to make good money and actually have the time to enjoy it? What if I told you it’s possible to live every day like you’re on vacation without braking the bank? Are you interested…? Of course you are, who wouldn’t be? In order to make this dream a reality, you must change the way you think! So, I’m introducing two small practical steps for you to employ, while your mind escapes the prison of thought it has been incarcerated in! But I warn you…don’t go back to watching the news, reading the paper or talking finances with your neighbor, this will do nothing but plant seeds of fear and drive you back to the arms of the prison guard.
After successfully cutting the fat from your lifestyle (removing the unneeded extras/downsizing), you need to begin budgeting…yes, you heard me correctly. You are probably thinking to yourself, “I thought Silas was going to introduce some new radical ways of thinking! This is what I’ve been told since I had my first job.” Well just hold on to your panties, we are going to get into the good stuff soon, but for now you need to begin laying a few foundational cornerstones. And while these first two steps may not sound radical, I AM NOT introducing them to you with the same thinking used by your grandparents. In no way shape or form am I suggesting that you should save for retirement, nor am I suggesting that you should maintain this model of savings after the market makes its rebound. No, this is simply a savings model designed to take the fat from your lifestyle and put it to work for you, so that you can begin doing the things you WANT TO DO! Now, I am aware that some of you are living from week to week or maybe even from day to day and you think you have no fat to cut from your lifestyle. But it is my experience, having been there myself, that there is always fat. You just have to look in the right places and be willing to think outside of the box. So whether you are a multi-millionaire, apart of the middle class, or one of the many who are apart of the financial lower class, you can prepare for and posture yourself to take on the daunting task of finally putting money to work for you! The savings model is so easy a two year old could do it! All you’re going to do at this point is take the payments you are no longer making, or the cash you have after downsizing, and save it. Don’t look for investments. Don’t buy that new toy but if you must, once per month establish a specific amount (10% or less) out of your surplus for fun. Now consider this, after cutting the fat, downsizing and establishing a budget many of you will be able to save somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-65% of your gross income! On your mark, get set…GO! Don’t wait another second, get started cutting the fat today!
Let me pose one last thought for today. We have been indoctrinated by media to the degree that we are no longer driven by that which we love or find pleasure in, we are driven by fear of a non-existent future! When I was seven-teen I was making 35k a year on less than 40 hours a week. I drove an almost new BMW 525i and rented a three bedroom, two bath house, with a 1500 SF detached garage. I thought I was big stuff. Considering I was seven-teen, I had things together for the most part. Whoop de doo!!! The problem was I just looked like I had it together! I was spending $750 a month on my car!!! Did I need the BMW? Did it add anything to my life? Did it increase my joy? NO!!! As a matter of fact, it only decreased my ability to do what I wanted to do! For the two years I owned that car, I spent $15,600 on it…not counting the one time I had to get it worked on! You know what they say…You don’t have to be rich to buy a BMW, but you have to be rich to own one. If I hadn’t bought into the social need to look sexy, to look successful, I could have put close to $20k to work for me! And I could have done that while still owning a nice car! You need to understand…I am not advising you to give up the things you enjoy! I am advising you to temporally learn how to enjoy your life free of fat! People tell me all the time, “I would love to be in good shape, I just enjoy food to much!” The problem isn’t their enjoyment of food!!! The problem is that they are have learned to enjoy the wrong food! News flash…McDonalds isn’t good food!!! But that’s not what their taste buds say at the moment. I used to eat McDonalds multiple times per week, my excuse, it was fast and cheap. The truth was I simply programed myself to like it! You couldn’t force me to eat McDonalds now! The last time I tried to eat McDonalds I almost threw up! I used to watch the news too…guess what, now it makes me feel like I’m going to throw up! It’s time to re-program your thinking! I don’t want you to think like me, I just want you to think!
I have a challenge for you. For the next thirty days, TURN OFF all traditional media…e.g. news media, newspapers and articles and only look at social media, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc, once per day. For some of you this will be a monumental challenge! You can do it!!! Trust me, this will revolutionize your life! Oh, and just for kicks, you should see what happens when you stop eating fast food for a month...you won’t regret it!
See you next week!
So, I thought that my first informational blog on the new site would be somewhat encouraging and depending upon your current paradigm it will be. And it doesn’t get much more encouraging than the title, now does it? I first began predicting the coming stock market collapse in 2012. You obviously do not need to be a seasoned futurist to foresee this upcoming market collapse considering the conspicuous way in which the FED has been holding it up. That being said, I have been predicting this collapse for the last three years and am excited to let you know that we will not only come through this but those with mental fortitude and spiritual awareness will have many opportunities to thrive in the midst of it! Allow me to explain…
This collapse was not only easily predictable but obviously intentional. The market is easily manipulated by those who run it…this might come as a news flash to many of you but to most it is but a forgotten truth lost in piles of cash. Ok, enough with all of that…I’m not going down that rabbit hole of conspiracy any further. Time for an explanation on how you can thrive in the midst of collapse, inflation, and unemployment. This article is aimed at those who may be considered the financial lower or middle class; after all, you are the ones most greatly impacted by the high stakes game, played by those who deem themselves elite! I am making the assumption at this point, that you desire financial freedom and are willing to embrace or at least consider non-traditional wisdom to obtain it. After all, isn’t it traditional wisdom that powers this financial roller coaster so many are riding? You understand how the market works, the basics of economic health, and the deceitfulness of the system. It’s not something that needs to be figured out, it simply needs to be navigated. You don’t just set sail because you have a boat and the sea before you. No, you have to learn how to predict the weather, if you want to set sail at the right time. If you are out at sea, now is the time look for port. If you have been considering setting sail, I would encourage you reconsider!
Now let’s talk about a couple things you need to consider if you are going to thrive in this collapse. First things first…it’s time to consider cutting the fat! Stop reading this article and if you can, take a deep look within and ask yourself, am I attached to all the meaningless objects in my possession? Am I attached to the status symbols of the American dream? Do I need the things (cars/houses) that the bank owns? Ok, now that you have taken a few minutes to consider the questions above, I want you to think about what your life would look like if you cut the things you don’t NEED off. Warning, you have to consider what it would look like without thinking about the financial loss you may have to take to make it happen! DON’T PRECEED UNTIL YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO REALLY DO THIS! Does that new car or expensive house really add value to your life? No, they do not! Now, let me stop you from making the assumption that I’m a traditionalist and that I’m just trying to take away the few pleasures you have….I’M NOT! Many of you could have bought two houses for the price you paid for the one you are currently living in and rented one to pay the mortgage of the one you are actually living in and you could have invested the $3,600 you paid the bank this year for your car or used it to take an extra vacation or two. What would your life look like if you were able to stop working for money and started putting money to work for you? What would your life look like if you DIDN’T have to go to work to pay for all the THINGS but got to work when you wanted too? Would this be worth cutting the fat? If you want to put money to work for you, you must first cut your life ties to it! As long as you are working for money, you will be strapped to the proverbial financial roller coaster…on top of the world today and at rock bottom tomorrow. Green paper isn’t really worth all that fuss, is it?
I’m going to leave you with a single thought to consider until next week’s article. Are you doing what you enjoy, what your passionate about, what you love, or are you doing what you HAVE to do? For the majority of you the answer will be the latter. My single thought for you to ponder is this…WHY?
