Watch with me if you dare, the great play called “life”; actors and actresses working diligently to become the subject they most admire, they do whatever it takes to have a role, to look the part, and to be accepted in the play. Those who are accepted are watched by understudies and admired by wannabes; they are seen as successful, as wise, and as gifted. Most individuals never make the big stage, they stay behind the scenes, working backstage, but always trying to be like those on it. For the backstage worker, “life” revolves around the 9-5, having a nice house to go home to and a nice car to get them there. They seek pleasure in those they want to be like and miserably desire to escape the minuscule work that has been given them. Those who are deemed as successful lead the way in this play; their wealth, status, and popularity seem desirable, they appear to be having fun so everyone wants to be like them. Everyone is chasing the green, trying to keep up, trying to have a lifestyle that will make them happy.
Escape the bondage of trying to be like those society deems admirable! Escape the prison of thought that money and toys will make you happy! Escape the shackles of the American Dream and live once again!
BE YOU!!! BE FREE!!! Let go of the bondage of trying to be like someone else, stop being a copy cat! You will never find satisfaction in trying to be liked! Return to your true nature, your god nature, your creative genius! The play isn’t real, your work backstage isn’t real, and your 9-5 reality isn’t real. You’re not having fun and it’s not because of your job, where you live or the toys you don’t have. You’re not having fun because you don’t know who you are! We are raised in this play with the idea that applause means success! That Facebook likes mean that we are liked. That success is a nice place to live, good transportation, food on the table and big screen TV to watch after work; that a 401K and nice retirement is what you work 45 years to accomplish, so that you can die a nice death.
The prison door is wide open, will you walk through it? Will you dare to walk away from the status quo, the American Dream, and traditional wisdom? He who Christ sets free is free! Free to live and move and have our being in the moment, in the now, in I AM. You don’t have to fight for this freedom, it was already fought for. The dream of popularity and success, of money and toys, this can be taken from you, but the freedom I speak of can in no way be taken, for it is within! Will you dare to believe that this one moment in I AM’s presence is better than an thousand days of luxurious retirement? Will you dare to believe that in the presence of I AM is an ecstatic joy that paper can’t buy? Will you dare to believe that in I AM is pleasure beyond imagination, and ecstasy that cannot be taken? Will you dare to believe?
Life is so much more than where you have been and where you believe your plans will take you, it is bigger than where you are and what you do, it is who you are! Who are you? Are you your mother or father? Are you your husband or wife? Are you your best friend? Are you your neighbor? NO! You are an undiscovered jewel, a unique expression of the Glory of I AM. You cannot and will never be someone else; and you will never find yourself until you realize you are in I AM!
